Scope of Works:
Weathershield was contracted by BBTTCC the General Contractor of the International Waterfront Complex project to provide the specialist roofing and waterproofing services to all buildings of this signature building complex in the heart of downtown Port of Spain.
The 4 star Hyatt Regency Hotel was one of the buildings being built and included the unique design feature of a 4th floor open air pool terrace, which consisted of perimeter roof garden planters, open terrace lounge area, swimming pool with endless pool features and Jacuzzi.

To waterproof the external roof garden planters, Weathershield installed a Mearlcrete Lightweight Cellular Insulating Concrete Screed, a 2 Ply Index Polymer Modified Bitumen Robur and Defend Anti Root waterproofing membrane complete with vertical termination flashing. Carlisle MiraDrain Drainage and Protection Layer was installed as a substrate for the growth media and planter foliage.

To the graded structural floor of the roof terrace and pool areas, a 2 Ply Index Robur waterproofing membrane was installed, with Carlisle MiraDrain drainage and protection layer as a base for pool infill and finish as well as the terrace tile finish. All were successfully completed on time and within budget to the satisfaction of our client BBTTCC. A ten (10) year System Warranty was issued for this work ensuring the waterproofing protection of our material and workmanship.
